Vallejo sits across the Carquinez Strait from Martinez, about 25 minutes from the yard, similar to the drive for Danville. Same-day delivery holds on weekday calls before 2PM.
It is the first city on our regular route inside Solano County, distinct from the Contra Costa and Alameda County cities that make up most of our map.
Mare Island Naval Shipyard operated for more than 140 years before closing, and it was one of the most significant naval installations on the West Coast during that time. The island is now being redeveloped, with former naval buildings converted into breweries, offices and residential space.
Vallejo briefly served as California’s first state capital in 1852, a detail that still shows up in some of the older civic architecture downtown, before the capital moved on to Benicia and eventually Sacramento.

BBP Dumpster was amazing to work with! From the very start, their team made everything so easy. They were quick to communicate, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood the process. The delivery was right on time, and they placed the dumpster exactly where I needed it. After we were done, they handled the pickup and even made sure the area was left neat and cleaning up any debris around it. If your street is not listed, tell us the neighbourhood and we can usually settle on a size before we hang up.
Vallejo runs a ferry terminal with direct service to San Francisco, a transportation option none of the other Solano or Contra Costa cities on our map have. It is a passenger connection rather than anything that affects freight delivery, but it is part of why downtown Vallejo functions differently from a typical car-dependent waterfront city.
No city sign-off applies to a container on private property. Street placement in Vallejo requires an encroachment permit, published by the City of Vallejo, and it comes up most often on the older, narrower streets close to downtown.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom sits inside Vallejo and is a major regional attraction distinct from the city’s naval and civic history. Deliveries near the park itself follow the same commercial scheduling we use for any large entertainment venue, with access coordinated around event and operating hours.
