Most haulers run lean on containers, so a same-day request depends on someone else finishing first. We keep more than 150 containers in the yard on Clayton Rd, which removes that dependency almost entirely.
The second half is distance. Concord sits near the centre of Contra Costa, so most of the county is inside a 30 minute drive and a truck can complete a second run in an afternoon. That is the whole mechanism behind the 2PM cutoff, and it is why the answer past that hour is next-day rather than a maybe.

On an emergency call we size up rather than down. A second delivery on a deadline costs more than the difference between containers, and damage jobs almost always produce more than the first estimate. If we are wrong, the larger container simply goes back less full.
Damage debris is accepted broadly, but water and fire jobs carry two risks worth knowing about before the truck arrives.
